本隱私權政策由 MangaFuru 團隊（以下稱「MangaFuru 團隊」、「我們」）發布。MangaFuru 團隊為一個獨立的小型團隊／個人開發者，並非註冊公司。就本政策所述及之有限個人資料，其控制者為 MangaFuru 團隊，聯絡方式為 gomanga.support@gmail.com。

This Privacy Policy is published by the MangaFuru Team ("MangaFuru Team", "we", "us", or "our"). The MangaFuru Team is a small independent team / individual developer and is not a registered company. For the limited personal data described in this policy, the controller is the MangaFuru Team, contactable at gomanga.support@gmail.com.

This policy explains how data is handled when you use MangaFuru, a local-first iOS manga reader for iOS 18 and later, when you visit our website, and when you report issues to us through GitHub Issues.

This policy applies to the following:

• the MangaFuru iOS application itself;
• the official website hosted at https://mangafuru.github.io;
• the issue and bug-reporting channel hosted at https://github.com/MangaFuru/MangaFuru/issues.

Because MangaFuru is local-first, our role as a "controller" of personal data is very limited. We do not operate a central server to collect your reading activity, and there is no account system. Processing performed by the third-party or self-hosted sources you configure, and by infrastructure providers such as GitHub, is carried out by those parties as controller or processor under their own policies and is outside our control.

MangaFuru 的根本設計原則是本機優先。實務上，這代表：

The fundamental design principle of MangaFuru is local-first. In practice, this means:

• There is no MangaFuru account system. You do not need to register, sign in, or create any account to use the app.
• Your library and reading data stay on your device by default. Unless you actively submit something (for example, an issue report, a screenshot, or a diagnostic snippet), your library, reading progress, and source settings do not leave your device or get sent to us.
• We do not host, upload, store, sell, distribute, or index manga content. MangaFuru ships no official content catalog and no recommended-source list.

MangaFuru is a manga reader plus a source-configuration framework. Acting solely on your instruction and configuration, the app requests and displays content from the sources you choose; all sources, files, accounts, credentials, and access rights are configured and controlled by you.

下列資料是在您裝置本機上建立並儲存。在正常使用情況下，這些資料不會傳送給 MangaFuru 團隊：

• 您的書庫，以及匯入的內容項目；
• 稍後再看／歷史清單與閱讀紀錄；
• 閱讀進度（包含章節與頁面位置）；

• 本機診斷紀錄（log）。

這些資料由 iOS 在您裝置上管理。您可以透過刪除個別項目、清除快取，或自您的裝置移除應用程式來刪除這些資料。

本應用程式內建一個 Local（本機）來源，作為一個內容中立的機制，供您匯入或閱讀您在自己裝置或網路上已經擁有並控制的檔案。它本身不隨附任何內容、不編列任何索引，亦非由我們提供或推薦的內容來源。移除這個 Local 來源只會移除其進入點紀錄，而不會刪除您先前匯入的內容。

The following data is created and stored locally on your device. Under normal use, it is not transmitted to the MangaFuru Team:

• your library and imported content items;
• read-later / history lists and reading history;
• reading progress (including chapter and page position);
• installed-source records, repository configuration, and individual source settings;
• app preferences (such as language, appearance, reading direction, and cache settings);
• caches of cover images, page images, and metadata;
• local diagnostic logs.

This data is managed by iOS on your device. You can delete it by removing individual items, clearing caches, or uninstalling the app from your device.

The app includes a built-in Local source, which is a content-agnostic mechanism that lets you import or read files you already own and control on your own device or network. It ships with no content of its own, indexes nothing, and is not a content source provided or recommended by us. Removing the Local source only removes its entry-point record and does not delete content you previously imported.

We (the MangaFuru Team) do not collect the following:

• we do not collect MangaFuru account or login credentials (there is no account system);
• we do not collect your library, reading progress, history, or source settings;
• other than the website analytics and advertising described in Section 6 (Website and GitHub), we do not actively collect your behavioral, usage, or device-identifier data through the app;
• we do not request or maintain personal profiles such as names, email lists, or contacts.

The only information we receive is what you actively choose to submit to us, such as an issue report, a screenshot, or a diagnostic snippet you send through GitHub Issues (see Section 7), and any email you choose to send to our contact address. In those cases, we process only the content you provide, in order to understand and respond to your request.

Note that when the app connects to a source you have chosen, as you have configured it, such network requests necessarily transmit your device's IP address and the content you request (such as search terms) to that third-party or self-hosted source; likewise, when you interact with our website or with GitHub, GitHub, acting as an infrastructure provider, may process standard server logs, IP addresses, and account/login state under its own policies (see Section 6). None of the foregoing is collected by the MangaFuru Team.

MangaFuru lets you add "Repositories" and install or enable "Sources". A source may be a third-party extension, a remote service, or a local service running on your own network or device. Acting on your instruction and configuration, the app then browses, searches, opens, and displays content from those sources you configure.

When the app connects to a source or source service, it does so as you have configured it. Any data sent over such a connection (for example, search terms, the content requested, or credentials you enter for that source) is sent, at your direction, to the source you have chosen. These third-party or self-hosted services are outside the MangaFuru Team's control and operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

Because some sources may run on your local network, or because the app itself may host a local server on your device, iOS may prompt you to grant Local Network permission. This permission is used to communicate with local source services on your device or local network, not to transmit your activity to us.

You are solely responsible for the legality and rights of whatever sources and content you configure and access, and for complying with applicable law and each source's own terms. The MangaFuru Team recommends no particular source and ships no curated source list; the built-in Local source described above is only a content-agnostic local mechanism and provides or points to no content.

Our website (https://mangafuru.github.io) is hosted on GitHub Pages. The website may use web analytics (such as Google Analytics) and display advertising (such as Google advertising); these third-party services may set cookies and collect usage data or device/browser identifiers, and operate under their own policies. Where applicable law requires prior consent, we will present a cookie-consent mechanism and obtain your consent before enabling them, and we will update this policy when we make material changes to advertising or analytics.

Bug and issue reports go through GitHub Issues at https://github.com/MangaFuru/MangaFuru/issues. When you visit the website or use GitHub Issues, GitHub, as the hosting and infrastructure provider, may process standard server logs, IP addresses, account/login state, and the contents of the issues you submit, under its own policies.

Please note: public issues submitted on GitHub Issues are publicly visible. Their contents can be viewed by others and may be indexed by search engines. Consider this carefully before submitting anything in a public issue.

GitHub's processing of data on its platform is governed by GitHub's own privacy policy and terms, not by this policy.

當您選擇向我們回報問題時，您所提供的資訊可能包含下列內容：

When you choose to report an issue to us, the information you provide may include the following:

• a text description of the problem and steps to reproduce it;
• screenshots;
• diagnostic snippets, such as excerpts of local logs, error messages, or device/app version information.

We use this information only to understand, diagnose, and fix problems and to respond to your report.

Retention: we retain support emails and issue-report contents only for as long as needed to diagnose and resolve the matter and to maintain a public record of the issue. Public issues submitted through GitHub Issues persist publicly under GitHub's model until the issue is closed or deleted; their retention and removal are governed by GitHub's own policies.

Important security warning: do not submit passwords, private tokens, full cookies, paid content, personal data, or other secrets in public reports or diagnostics. Public issues submitted through GitHub Issues are publicly visible and may be indexed by search engines. Before submitting a screenshot or log, remove any sensitive or personally identifiable information.

Because MangaFuru is local-first, we hold little or no personal data. The only processing we actually carry out is handling the content you actively submit (primarily issue reports and support emails). For this processing, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your request and maintaining the app. Where your act of submitting content constitutes consent, that consent may also serve as a basis.

Depending on applicable law (for example, the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or similar laws), and where the applicable conditions for each right are met, you may have the following rights regarding any personal data we hold:

• to access the personal data we hold about you;
• to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• to delete your data (the "right to be forgotten");
• to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests (GDPR Article 21);
• to restrict certain processing;
• to obtain your data in a portable format, where technically feasible and the applicable conditions are met.

Note that some rights apply only to certain processing bases. For example, the right to data portability under the GDPR (Article 20) applies only to processing based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means; because the data we hold is primarily free text you supply, portability has limited applicability. The right to object applies to processing based on legitimate interests.

Where the CCPA/CPRA applies, we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. This is consistent with MangaFuru's no-account, no-sale-of-data, and free model.

You can contact us at gomanga.support@gmail.com to exercise these rights. Please note that, because of the local-first design, we generally do not hold your reading data or library; that data stays on your device, where you can manage or delete it directly. For data we do hold (primarily the contents of reports you submit), we will respond in good faith and, where a statutory deadline applies (such as one month under the GDPR), within that period. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

MangaFuru is available to users worldwide. Because of the local-first design, your app data stays on your device, and no cross-border transfer to us occurs as a result of your use of the app.

When you use our website or submit a report through GitHub Issues, that data is processed and stored by GitHub on GitHub's infrastructure, which may be located outside your country. Any cross-border processing by GitHub relies on the transfer safeguards GitHub maintains (for example, standard contractual clauses or applicable data-transfer frameworks) under GitHub's Data Protection Agreement, and such data is submitted by you on your own initiative. Such processing is governed by GitHub's own policies and safeguards, to which the MangaFuru Team is not a party. Any third-party or self-hosted source you configure may also process data in its own location. Consider this before submitting anything to us.

MangaFuru is not designed for or directed to children. The app and the site are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the app has no account system and does not collect personal data from the device, we do not, under normal use, collect personal data from any user, including children.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal data from a child under the applicable age (for example, embedded in an issue report), we will delete it. You may also contact us at gomanga.support@gmail.com, and we will take reasonable steps to remove that information.

MangaFuru is a source-configuration framework and ships no content of its own. You are responsible for the age-appropriateness of content accessed through sources you configure, and for any appropriate supervision of minors.

MangaFuru's local-first design itself improves data security: because your library, progress, and settings stay on your device and are protected by iOS platform security, that data is not centralized on a server that could become a target.

You can further protect your data by keeping your device updated, using device-level protections (such as a passcode and biometrics), and carefully managing the credentials and access for the sources you configure.

For the limited data you submit to us, we take reasonable measures to protect it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure; to the extent permitted by applicable law, we cannot guarantee absolute security and are not responsible for the security of third-party or self-hosted sources you configure. Nothing in this Section limits or excludes any data-protection obligations or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law (such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA).

MangaFuru 可連線至您自行設定的第三方與自架服務，本政策與網站亦可能包含指向外部服務（例如 GitHub）的連結。

MangaFuru can connect to third-party and self-hosted services that you configure, and this policy and the website may contain links to external services (such as GitHub).

These third-party or self-hosted services are controlled by their respective operators and operate under their own privacy policies and terms. The MangaFuru Team is not responsible for, and does not endorse, the content, operation, security, or data practices of these services. When you access or configure any source through MangaFuru, your relationship with that source's operator is governed by that operator's terms.

Before using any third-party or self-hosted service, we recommend that you review its privacy policy and terms.

For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice, for example through the website or the app. Your continued use of MangaFuru after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
